Joshua Van Heukelom, MBA 
President and Co-CTO

Josh, President and Co-Chief Technology Officer for Orchestrate, is a seasoned technology veteran with broad industry experience. He has spent his entire career working in Information Technology with a special focus on software development. He has been specializing in the Salesforce.com platform for over 8 years and was a very early adopter within the wealth management industry.

Prior to founding Orchestrate, Josh was the Director of IT for Foster Group Inc. for nearly 8 years. He helped the firm grow from 15 employees to over 40 while providing strategic IT guidance and innovative solutions. In 2014, Josh decided to make the transition to full time employment with Orchestrate.

Before getting involved in the wealth management industry at Foster Group Josh designed and wrote software for the healthcare, biotechnology, and insurance industries. He started his career developing software for large healthcare institutions while at Cerner Corporation in Kansas City. After this he transitioned into the biotechnology sector and developed applications for Pioneer Hi-Bred laboratories. Josh also assisted American Enterprise Insurance’s efforts in transitioning from mainframe to modern technology. Josh earned an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Iowa. He also holds an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

While not at work, Josh is busy spending time outdoors with his wife and three children. They enjoy walking their dog and talking with neighbors. Bigger outdoor adventures include trips to Colorado for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. Youth sports are a constant theme around their house as well. The family is also very active with church activities and volunteering there.

Sayer P. Martin, CFA 
COO and Co-CTO

Sayer, Chief Operations Officer and Co-Chief Technology Officer for Orchestrate, is a CFA charterholder with business operations, asset management and technology experience. He has spent the majority of his professional life working with investment advisory firms and has experience on both sides of the industry table.

Prior to Orchestrate, Sayer founded Sagacious Inc., a consulting and development firm focused on end-to-end Salesforce.com CRM solutions for wealth management firms. Orchestrate acquired Sagacious in February 2016.

Prior to Sagacious, Sayer was employed by Clarity Asset Management, Inc. & co-founded Clarity Capital Management, Inc., both registered investment advisory firms in West Des Moines, Iowa. The former served high net worth clients, the latter was manager of a public mutual fund. Prior to Clarity, he worked at CLS Investment Firm, LLC in Omaha, Nebraska, where he served as the youngest member of a portfolio management team then overseeing nearly $2 billion in assets. Sayer was one of the first Account Managers at Orion Advisor Services, LLC and he graduated cum laude (Finance) from Creighton University.

Sayer is a private pilot and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his talented wife and two beautiful daughters and serving in volunteer efforts. He serves on the Finance Council of his church, is Past President of CFA Society Iowa, was Endowment Chair of the Friends of the West Des Moines Library Foundation and is a past member of the CFA Institute Society Technology Council (STC).
